Community Forums


A facilities workgroup representing school community stakeholders convened last spring to update the district's facilities master plan. The goals of this group were to review and discuss the status of district facilities and community input, identify additional facility needs, and provide assistance in revising the 2014 Facilities Master Plan.  The workgroup presented its findings to the Board of Education in September.  You can view their presentation slides

To address many of the facility priorities identified by the group, the Board of Education is considering a no tax-rate increase bond for the April 2022 ballot.  The Board of Education would like to invite families, staff, and community members to attend community forums to learn more about this possible ballot initiative.  The purpose of the community forums is to engage Hallsville stakeholders regarding district bonding capacity, possibilities for capital improvement projects, and general information for a prospective no tax-rate increase bond. 

 

The board has also set the following dates for additional community forums: 

  • Tuesday, September 28 at 6:30 p.m. in the secondary cafeteria

  • Monday, November 1 at 6:30 p.m. in the secondary cafeteria

  • Wednesday, December 1 at 6:30 p.m. in the secondary cafeteria
