Please join us tonight, Monday, May 13, for the spring play, The Ghost Wore White . This thirty-minute production has two showings, at 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., at Rocky Fork Church. The Ghost Wore White revolves around the Conwell family's unexpected encounter with a ghost upon moving into their new home. Find out if fourteen-year-old Jennie Conwell's trap to catch the ghost works or if it was something else in the house making all the trouble!


Date: Monday, May 13

Time: 5:00 p.m. & 7:00 p.m.

Location: Rocky Fork Church

Admission: $3 adults, $2 students


Please join the Hallsville School District on Wednesday, May 15, as we celebrate faculty & staff retiring from our district! The reception will be held in the primary cafeteria from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Students, families, staff, and community members are welcome to attend.

Hallsville Board of Education will hold its monthly meeting on Wednesday, May 15, after the District Retirement reception at 6:00 p.m. in the primary cafeteria. An agenda for the meeting can be found online here.


Yearbook order forms were due prior to Spring Break. If you did not order a yearbook and would like to be included on the waitlist, please click the button below. Heidi Lenon, the  Yearbook Advisor, will contact you at a later date if books are available.

Please join us in celebrating the Hallsville High School Class of 2024! Graduation is scheduled for Friday, May 24, at 7:30 p.m. at the football field. Gates will open at 5:30 p.m., and parking will be available across the entire district, including at the primary school and main campus. Several shuttle options will be available for families. In the event of inclement weather, graduation will be moved indoors.


Students have been busy in the greenhouse all semester, tending to the plants and transplanting seedlings or plugs. Hallsville FFA is excited to offer the Hallsville community hanging baskets, geraniums, vegetables, bedding plants, and more this year .


The plant  sale will take place in the greenhouse and the Ag parking lot on the following dates/times: 


  • May 18: 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
  • May 16 & 17: 1:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Cash, Card, and Checks will be accepted. 


Summer camp registration is now open for Hallsville students! When registering, please register for the grade level that your student will be entering next year. You can view all camp registration forms and information here .

Middle School Football: Incoming 7th & 8th Grade

Grade Levels: Students entering 7th and 8th grade

Dates: MAY 28 - MAY 30

Time: 4:00 - 6:00 PM


Instructional Emphasis: Rules of the game, Offensive and Defensive formations, and positional awareness as well as basic football skills, stances, running, passing, catching, etc. The camp will be run by the Hallsville Indians Coaching Staff. All practices will be held at the Middle School Practice Field inside the Old Track.


Cost: $25 (includes camp shirt)

Volleyball Youth Camp: Incoming 1st-8th Grade

Dates:

  • July 16-18 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. entering Gr. 1-3

  • July 16-18 2:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. entering Gr. 4-6

  • July 16-18 3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. entering Gr. 7-8


Location: Primary Gym - Primary School


Cost: $45 Registration Fee

Fee includes:

  • Volleyball skill instruction with the coaching staff and HHS volleyball team

  • T-shirt

  • Snack and drink each day

We will host a Youth Night at a high school ball game during the season. More information to come!

Lady Indians Basketball Camp: Incoming K-8th Grade

Dates: Monday, July 8th through Thursday, July 11th


Session 1: Entering Grades 4th through 8th, 12:00-2:00 in Primary Gym

(This camp will also include special guest instructors who are alumni of the Lady Indians program, and a goal of this camp is to get players prepared for middle and high school programs)


Session 2: Entering Kindergarten through 3rd grade, 11:00-12:00 pm Primary Gym

(Session 2 will run from Monday to Wednesday, with no Thursday camp date)


Instructional Emphasis: Ball Handling, Shooting Technique, Passing, and Creating an Enjoyment of Basketball. The camp will be run by the Hallsville Lady Indians coaching staff and current players.
 

Cost: (includes refreshments and camp shirt)

Session 1: $40

Session 2: $30

Boys Basketball Camp: Incoming K-8th Grade

Dates: Monday, July 22nd - Wednesday, July 24th

Session 1: Entering 6th - 8th grade, 9:00am - 11:00am West Gym

Session 2: Entering 3rd - 5th grade, 11:30am - 1:00pm West Gym

Session 3: Entering Kindergarten - 2nd grade, 1:30pm - 2:30pm West Gym


Registration Fee includes: (Basketball Skill Instruction and Camp T-shirt)

** We ask that you have your little Indians bring their own water bottle.

Instructional Emphasis: Rules of the game, Offensive and Defensive formations, and positional awareness as well as basic football skills, stances, running, passing, catching, etc. Learning the FUNdamentals of football. The camp will be run by the Hallsville Indians coaching staff and players.

Hallsville Girl Scouts Information Night

Girl Scouts are holding a Girl Scouts Information Night on Monday, May 13, from 5:30 p.m.to 6:30 p.m. at the Hallsville Community Center. Girl Scouts are open to students in grades kindergarten through high school.


Boone County Community Services Department Art Contest

The Boone County Community Services Department is seeking artwork  from Boone County children and youth to include in their upcoming Annual Report. Submissions will help showcase the vibrant creativity of our community’s young artists . This department plays a crucial role in funding various programs in our schools and community through the Boone County Children’s Services Fund. Hallsville Party in the Park & Cornhole Tournament

Grow Hallsville Parks Foundation is hosting its 2nd annual Party in the Park & Cornhole Tournament on Saturday, May 18 at Tribble Park. All proceeds will go towards a Veterans Memorial in Hallsville.


Hallsville Police Foundation Raffle

Hallsville Police Foundation is holding a raffle for four platinum season tickets to Six Flags St. Louis & Hurricane Harbor. Tickets can be purchased at City Hall or through a Police Foundation of Hallsville member.
